Day 1: ARRIVAL
Scheduled flight from Frankfurt to Windhoek.

Day 2: WINDHOEK - NAMIB NAUKLUFT (APPROX. 370 KM)
On arrival in Windhoek, you'll be greeted by your German-speaking guide. Curiosity calls for a visit to Namibia's charming capital, situated at an altitude of 1,654 m. Did you know that Windhoek is also known as "the place of steam, water and fire" due to its many hot thermal springs? The journey continues to the Namib Naukluft Park, where you have dinner. You will then move into your accommodation for the night.

DAY 3 - NAMIB NAUKLUFT REGION - SOSSUSVLEI - SESRIEM CANYON - NAMIB NAUKLUFT REGION (APPROX. 300 KM)
You're up early because you don't want to miss the sunrise. After breakfast, we get started. You feel tiny between the sand mountains of Sossusvlei. With the four-wheel drive vehicle, you cover the last few meters to the dunes on a fascinating drive through an almost endless sand desert. You visit Dead Vlei, a white clay depression that only fills with water in good rainy years and exudes a mystical atmosphere with its ghostly, dry trees. Certain plants and animals have settled here and adapted to the conditions. Nearby is the million-year-old Sesriem Canyon, which owes its existence to the Tsauchab River. We spend the night in the same accommodation as the day before.

Day 4: NAMIB REGION NAUKLUFT - SWAKOPMUND (APPROX. 555 KM)
You start the morning with a fortifying breakfast before your journey takes you to the "Tropic of Capricorn". Another highlight is Kuiseb Canyon, the dividing line between the sandy desert to the south and the rocky plains further north towards Swakopmund. A partially dry river bed cuts through the landscape. You might spot cliff divers, leopards, hyenas or springbok. It's hard to believe that two German geologists hid in this remote area during the Second World War! You cross the legendary moonscape near Swakopmund. The arid landscape is full of life. Can you believe it? The stones and soil are covered with lichens that draw the moisture they need from the fog. It's also home to the famous "Welwitschia Mirabilis", a plant found only in a limited area of Namibia and which can live for over 1,500 years. In the evening, you'll reach Swakopmund and your accommodation. After the journey, the long beach invites you to take a stroll. Overnight in Swakopmund.

Day 5: SWAKOPMUND
Have you already made plans for today? You can spend the morning as you wish! Your tour guide can also suggest activities that can be booked on site. As part of Excursion Package 1, you'll take a morning boat trip to Pelican Point in Walvis Bay. Have you heard of the port town of Walvis Bay? From here, your boat sets off for the sandbanks that are home to many seals. Dolphins, cormorants and pelicans are likely to accompany you on your journey. Enjoy snacks, sparkling wine and oysters on board: where could they be fresher than here? In the afternoon, an orientation tour of the German-influenced city is on the agenda. Among other things, you'll see the important Hohenzollern building. Nor should you miss the Princess Rupprecht House. Do you recognize the architectural style? The city is characterized by 20th-century Baltic German architecture. Many streets and stores bear German names. The pastry shops are legendary: try a Black Forest cherry cake made to an old German recipe! You can round off the day with a relaxing stroll along Swakopmund beach. Overnight in Swakopmund.

Day 6: SWAKOPMUND - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK REGION (APPROX. 480 KM)
You leave the coast and continue northwards. Your destination for the day is Etosha National Park, located at the north-western edge of the Kalahari Basin. The name Etosha means something like "Great White Place", which becomes understandable when you look at the large salt marsh. In your accommodation outside the park, you can relax and listen to the night voices. Can you attribute the sounds to the animals?

Day 7: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK REGION - TSUMEB (APPROX. 345 KM)
Finally, the time has come! They're off on the hunt. Do you have the extra memory card to hand and is the camera battery charged? You begin your safari by minibus through the incredible expanses of Etosha National Park, where large herds of animals roam freely over an area of more than 22,000 km². The wild animals seek the invigorating water of the waterholes and, with a little luck, will involve you in their daily quest for food. If you book excursion package 1, your safari will take place in a 4×4 all-terrain vehicle with raised seats. This is for better animal observation. You then continue your journey to Tsumeb - immerse yourself in the gentle rolling landscape of the region. Once you arrive in Tsumeb, you'll move into your accommodation.

Day 8: TSUMEB - RUNDU (APPROXIMATELY 356 KM)
Today's journey takes you through the Okavango region, where the famous Caprivi Strip begins. This region of northern Namibia is the only one to lie entirely in the tropics, and is therefore almost entirely flat swamp. It is crossed by the Okavango, Kwando and Zambezi tributaries. You don't have to be very lucky to catch a glimpse of wildlife here. Along the way, you'll first visit the Tsumeb Museum. Did you know that the Tsumeb region is known for its wealth of minerals and metals? Many tons of Namibia's finest ore have been mined here over the years. On the one hand, the museum is dedicated to the region's mining history and, on the other, the focus is of course on the country's World War history. Your destination for the day is the area around Rundu - the capital of the Kavango region. A boat trip on the Okavango River completes the day. The setting sun creates a romantic atmosphere like no other. Marvel at a variety of animals while drinking by the river. A fantastic place! Overnight in the Rundu region.

Day 9: RUNDU - KONGOLA (ABOUT 465 KM)
After breakfast, you drive through Bwabwata National Park. Like the entire western Caprivi region, this is a nature reserve. With a total area of over 6,000 km², the park stretches from the Okavango River to the Kwando River. In Mudumu National Park, located in the Linyanti swamps, you'll then set off on an exciting safari in a 4×4 all-terrain vehicle. What animals are likely to appear? Stay tuned! In the evening, you move into your comfortable lodge and round off the day with a relaxed dinner.

Day 10: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK - KASANE (APPROXIMATELY 315 KM)
You'll be surprised by the local way of life when you visit a village museum. Here, you'll learn more about the way of life of the Mafwe tribe. Do the traditional dances encourage you to sway your hips? Fear not, your hosts are sure to reward you with a smile. The tour continues to Katima Mulilo, the capital of the Zambezi region. At Ngoma, you leave Namibia and cross the border into Botswana. An exciting safari on the Chobe River completes your day. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife along the river's banks. Accommodation in the Chobe region.

Day 11: KASANE - VICTORIA FALLS (APPROX. 100 KM)
If you've booked excursion package 2, you'll leave early in the morning for a safari in Chobe National Park in 4×4 vehicles. If you're lucky, you'll see a herd of elephant or Cape buffalo, for which the park is famous. After breakfast, you continue your journey to Victoria Falls. In Zimbabwe, you'll be greeted with a warm smile by your English-speaking guide. The town at the gateway to Victoria Falls is well worth a visit. Do you still need a souvenir as a reminder? You're sure to find what you're looking for here. If you wish, you can visit the village of Mpisi as part of Excursion 2, where you'll learn a lot about the traditions of the Matabele people. You're invited to take a look behind the scenes and experience African culture up close. In the evening, a boat trip along the Zambezi River awaits you. The setting sun bathes the bush landscape in wonderful warm colors. What animals are you likely to see? Snacks and drinks are included during the boat trip. Drive to your accommodation and spend the night.

Day 12: VICTORIA FALLS
You start the last day of your trip with another highlight. Today's program includes a visit to Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe side. Here, a broad curtain of water falls from a cliff more than 100 m below the surface. An impressive natural spectacle you've probably been waiting for. Did you know that this is the only rainforest in otherwise very dry Zimbabwe? It was created solely by the spray of falling water. Still completely captivated by these unique impressions, it's time to say goodbye to three impressive African countries. Transfer to Victoria Falls airport and return flight with stopover in Germany.

Day 13: RETURN TO GERMANY
